What Muskegon Homeowners Say About Our AC Services

Joey came out to find out why one of our ceiling light/fans keeps turning off sporadically. He found that one of the remote switches from the dinosaur ages was not syncing with the other one properly, and he let us decide if we wanted to keep both and fix it or just discontinue one of the switches, which was so much better for us. The switches are completely confusing when using two. We now can easily tell guests how to work the lights/fans. He was quick, thorough, and friendly. He also did a complimentary check of our entire electrical system and recommended some things we could use in the future. Excellent job, Joey. We really appreciate your help.

This wasn't the first time working with Amp and it will not be the last! Matt came out to help install a light fixture and knocked it out of the park! Very knowledgeable and wonderful to work with, and was very happy to help answer questions I had during the visit. I look forward to continuing to leverage Amp Electric for future projects as they are genuinely awesome!

I couldn't be happier with the service! Warren and Matt installed four overhead lights with a dimmer and removed some sconces for me. They were absolute professionals, completed the job quickly, and were very careful to keep my living room clean during the process. Every time I work with Amp I am pleased with the quality of the work and the customer sercice and professionalism of the technicians!

We needed a ceiling fan installed, a light switch, and two outlets updated in our 100 year old house for our first baby’s nursery. Being young and inexperienced, we wanted to find someone who would teach us what to do, what to look for, etc, and do all of the installation/updating. The owner of Amp, Joe, came out himself to give us a quote. He walked us through and educated us on our house’s wiring, etc., and really took time to teach us about what we were looking at.

We’ve used amp several times and plan to use them again in the future. Tyler and Seth were our technicians this time but our technicians are fantastic every time. I highly recommend for your electric and heating and cooling needs

How AC Repair Helps Restore Home Comfort

A struggling AC system can show signs long before it stops working—strange noises, uneven cooling, rising energy bills, or a unit that never seems to shut off. We walk you through what’s happening, check every component carefully, and pinpoint the real cause instead of guessing. You get clear answers, straightforward options, and repairs that match your home’s needs.

Why Choose Us for AC Repair in Muskegon, MI?

Muskegon’s lakeshore weather puts extra strain on cooling systems, and we’ve repaired AC units in every type of home—from older cottages to newer family builds. Our approach is simple: take our time diagnosing, explain the issue plainly, and repair it with care.

We inspect coils, motors, capacitors, thermostats, refrigerant levels, and airflow issues so nothing gets overlooked. Our work is neat, thoughtful, and built to last. We don’t push replacements when repairs will do, and we don’t disappear after a quick fix—we want your system running safely and reliably for the long haul.

We’re your neighbors, and we take pride in offering service that feels personal, honest, and grounded in real expertise.

Common Air Conditioning Problems We Repair

Every AC issue tells a story. Maybe your system froze up after running nonstop during a week of humidity. Maybe the blower stopped working out of nowhere. Or maybe the air felt warm because your refrigerant levels dipped too low. We’ve seen these problems and more, and we bring that experience straight to your home.

During our visit, we take time to test your system thoroughly—checking pressures, inspecting electrical components, clearing drains, and confirming airflow. We look for root causes, not band‑aid fixes, so you don’t end up calling again in a few weeks.

When we’re done, we review what we found, talk through your options, and help you understand how to keep your system running smoothly. You’ll never feel rushed, pressured, or left in the dark.
