What Your Neighbors Are Saying About Us

Kirstie S.
Joey came out to find out why one of our ceiling light/fans keeps turning off sporadically. He found that one of the remote switches from the dinosaur ages was not syncing with the other one properly, and he let us decide if we wanted to keep both and fix it or just discontinue one of the switches, which was so much better for us. The switches are completely confusing when using two. We now can easily tell guests how to work the lights/fans. He was quick, thorough, and friendly. He also did a complimentary check of our entire electrical system and recommended some things we could use in the future. Excellent job, Joey. We really appreciate your help.

This wasn't the first time working with Amp and it will not be the last! Matt came out to help install a light fixture and knocked it out of the park! Very knowledgeable and wonderful to work with, and was very happy to help answer questions I had during the visit. I look forward to continuing to leverage Amp Electric for future projects as they are genuinely awesome!

I couldn't be happier with the service! Warren and Matt installed four overhead lights with a dimmer and removed some sconces for me. They were absolute professionals, completed the job quickly, and were very careful to keep my living room clean during the process. Every time I work with Amp I am pleased with the quality of the work and the customer sercice and professionalism of the technicians!

We needed a ceiling fan installed, a light switch, and two outlets updated in our 100 year old house for our first baby’s nursery. Being young and inexperienced, we wanted to find someone who would teach us what to do, what to look for, etc, and do all of the installation/updating. The owner of Amp, Joe, came out himself to give us a quote. He walked us through and educated us on our house’s wiring, etc., and really took time to teach us about what we were looking at.

We’ve used amp several times and plan to use them again in the future. Tyler and Seth were our technicians this time but our technicians are fantastic every time. I highly recommend for your electric and heating and cooling needs

Signs You Need a New Water Heater

Knowing when to replace your water heater can save you from a messy and costly breakdown. Here are some common signs it’s time to call us.

  • Inconsistent or no hot water
  • Unit is 10 or more years old
  • Rusty or discolored water
  • Rumbling or popping sounds
  • Visible leaks or corrosion
  • Rising energy bills

Benefits of Upgrading Your Water Heater

Replacing an aging water heater is one of the smartest investments you can make in your home. A new unit runs more efficiently, which means lower energy bills month after month. Modern water heaters also deliver more consistent hot water and are built with improved safety features that older models simply don’t have.

For Muskegon homeowners, water heater efficiency matters even more during our cold Michigan winters. When outdoor temperatures drop, your unit has to work harder to heat incoming cold water. A newer, properly sized system handles that demand without overworking itself or driving up your utility costs.

Beyond savings and comfort, upgrading your water heater gives you peace of mind. You won’t have to worry about an aging tank failing unexpectedly and flooding your basement or utility room. A fresh installation backed by our 10-year parts-and-labor warranty means you’re covered for the long haul.

Water Heater Options for Installation

We install a range of water heaters so you can choose the option that best fits your home, budget, and household hot water needs.

Traditional tank water heaters are the most common option and store a ready supply of hot water for use throughout the day. They are available in a variety of sizes and are a reliable, cost-effective choice for most homes. Tankless water heaters, on the other hand, heat water on demand rather than keeping a tank full, which can significantly reduce energy use for households that don’t need hot water running constantly.

Heat pump water heaters are another option worth considering. They transfer heat from the surrounding air into the water rather than generating it directly, making them among the most energy-efficient choices available. Our team will walk you through the pros and cons of each option and help you choose the option that makes the most sense for your home.
